Perform skilled and semi-skilled labor in the maintenance of City swimming pools and aquatics facilities in accordance with safety regulations and City policies and procedures.REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or GED equivalent, and one year of swimming pool and aquatics facility maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a valid Texas Driver’s license; and Certified Pool and Spa Inspector certification from the National Swimming Pool Foundation must be obtained within one year of employment.ABILITY TO: inspect pools and aquatics facilities, prioritize necessary repairs, improvements and preventive maintenance; clean pool facilities, equipment and grounds. Maintain swimming pool water quality and sanitation levels in compliance with state regulations and Health Department standards; sample and test water and add proper chemicals to maintain safe and healthy water quality. Maintain specialized swimming pool circulation and filtration equipment; inspect filter systems and equipment for leaks and proper operation condition; repair pumps, motors, and components. Maintain Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) digital mapping system, Positron 9-1-1 telephone systems database and other peripheral databases within the Public Safety Communications division.Provides apprentice level technical support to end users; creates and updates informational databases; and performs other related duties as assigned. Provide assistance to the Systems and Technology Specialist; diagnose and repair hardware and software problems, including outgoing telephone lines and 9-1-1 equipment. Monitor computer system’s performance and analyze network issues; provide technical support to department field units. Update and create CAD files for interface with TCIC/NCIC; troubleshoot and correct issues with the TLETS interface.Perform update of TCIC/NCIC Operations and Code Manuals; process TOU’s and performs monthly TCIC validations in coordination with the Records Division and the Detective Division. May assist in providing on call technical support for public safety systems, the Emergency Operations Center and Regional Command Unit; member of the Level 2 emergency response team.
